Bonsai is both gardening and art. Rooted in Japanese and Chinese tradition, containers are used to grow small trees and some other plants. This beginning class will include a lecture that cover the basics, including plants that work well as indoor or outdoor bonsai, container and soil choice, often used styles and training the plant. All materials will be provided and students will leave with a plant that they can continue to grow at home.
