McHenry County is home to a number of local distilleries, including Rush Creek Distilling in Harvard. In this class, you’ll explore the history of spirits, learn why craft spirits are so popular, discuss the process of creating spirits, and discover different styles of craft spirits. You’ll also tour the distillery and learn about the process including safety, equipment, cleaning and sanitation, and the importance of the right ingredients. A tasting of different spirits is included. Must be age 21+.
