Learn basic sewing skills and gain confidence while making three fun projects. These projects include a decorative pin cushion where you'll learn the utility and decorative functions of the sewing machine and basic sewing, cutting, and measuring techniques; an inside-out pillowcase where you'll learn rotary cutting skills, basic and French seams, and pressing techniques; and a drawstring bag , where you'll learn how to make a casing and boxed corners. Supplies, fabric, notions, and patterns are not included in the class fee but are available for purchase at the first class. Your costs will vary based on fabrics and supplies chosen. Each student receives a 15% discount on supplies purchased at Sewing Concepts. Students are encouraged to bring their own sewing machines. Sewing machines will be available for those who are unable to bring their own machine. Sewing Concepts is located on the square in downtown Woodstock.
