Keeping Your Computer Safe and Efficient

Learn how to keep your computer safe, secure, and running efficiently. In this class, you'll be introduced to built-in and free software tools available for home computers that help protect against viruses, malware, and other common threats. We’ll also cover essential practices to help you avoid issues caused by installing untrusted programs or clicking suspicious links. The class includes live demonstrations of software tools and built-in utilities that can scan for threats, clean out unnecessary files, and free up space by removing cookies, cache, and other digital clutter. This class is presented by our collaborative Rock Valley College instructor, Bob Bertolasi.
