Learn everything you need to create and maintain a healthy sourdough starter and embark on your journey to baking beautiful, delicious bread. In this hands-on class, you will build your own sourdough starter to take home; learn what sourdough is and how it works; discover how to care for your starter, including feeding, storing, and adapting it to your schedule; learn how to avoid common pitfalls and what to do if you encounter them; explore essential terms you need to know; and discuss recommended equipment for successfully baking sourdough bread. There will also be time for questions and a tasting of freshly baked bread.
