The Professional Pharmacy Technician Training course is designed to teach students the fundamentals and particulars of being a pharmacy technician. This program is ideal for a variety of students, including those interested in pursuing pharmacy careers and those with a healthcare background looking to enhance their skills. The class introduces students to various pharmacy practice settings and covers drug classes, basic physiology, drug interactions and daily pharmacy operations. It trains individuals to effectively assist in pharmaceutical preparations and complete essential tasks in any pharmacy environment, while also acknowledging the importance of on-the-job training. Upon completion, students will be prepared to take the National Healthcareers Association (NHA) Certified Pharmacy Technician (ExCPT) exam.

*It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that all students possess pre-algebra and basic computer web navigation skills, and fluency in English prior to enrolling in the class.
