This hands-on woodworking class is designed for beginners and hobbyists who want to develop practical skills in a safe, supportive environment. You'll learn woodworking fundamentals, including measuring and layout, tool selection and use, wood types, cutting techniques, fastening methods, sanding, and finishing. Instruction includes the safe operation of common hand tools and stationary power tools such as table saws, miter saws, drills, sanders, and routers. You'll complete guided projects while gaining confidence in shop safety, project planning, and basic construction techniques. By the end of the class, you'll have completed practical projects and developed foundational skills for home improvement, furniture building, and future woodworking projects. No prior experience is required. All materials included.
