In each Native American nation, there exist the most unique & honored of people, the medicine men and medicine women.  The objects they use to direct healing energies are functional & profoundly beautiful.  These ‘tools’ are carved, beaded, painted, adorned with intricately woven & dyed porcupine needles, fur, leather, feathers of hummingbirds to eagles and they are considered to be ‘alive.’   Some objects exist only for hours while others have lived for centuries.  This is an exploration of rare objects from the First People.
