The Phlebotomy Technician Training Program at McHenry County College requires students to both administer and receive capillary sticks and venipunctures to qualify to take the National Healthcareers (NHA) certification exam. Students complete the sticks in a lab setting on one another, under the supervision of the course instructors. To create a safe learning environment, all students are required to complete a set of medical forms before the start of the program.
