Join us for a hands-on sewing adventure! Start by getting comfortable with sewing machine functions and essential tools, with plenty of time to practice your stitching. Then, put your new skills to work by creating practical projects. This is a beginner level course with no experience necessary to enjoy. In the first class, students will learn the fundamentals of using a sewing machine while creating a fabric scrunchie and a fabric bookmark. The second class will focus on creating a lined fabric basket, introducing students to skills such as cutting, interfacing, sewing corners, lining, and topstitching. In the final class, students will apply the skills they have learned to create a beginner-friendly tote bag. By the end of the three classes, students will have completed several useful projects while gaining confidence with their sewing machine and learning foundational sewing techniques they can continue to build upon. All supplies are included, and sewing machines will be provided for use.
